The Texoma Experience
The Process
- 1
Personalized Consultation. Our team of dental professionals will spend the time to understand you and your specific situation, and come up with options that fit you and your budget. At Texoma Dentures and Implants, we want you to feel like we are really listening to you. Our financial coordinator can help you navigate through any finance questions, and our incredible team of surgical assistants and doctors can help answer any questions that you have about getting you your new smile.
- 2
Pre-Op Appointment (Can be completed at your consultation) During this appointment, our Texoma team will gather the records needed to design your new smile! We will sit down with you and explain exactly what to expect before, during, and aftercare. We encourage you to bring a loved one, as this process is a team effort, and any photos that you would like for us to use to design your new smile. Our expert team of doctors and lab professionals will take it from there!
- 3
Your Big Day! On your surgery day, our goal is to keep you comfortable and provide you with the greatest experience possible. After your procedure is complete, our team of lab professionals will complete the last step of creating your new teeth in-house, and you will leave the office the same day with your brand new smile.
- 4
Final Smile Design. After your mouth and implants have had an adequate amount of time to heal, which is normally 4 months, we will take a new (updated) set of models and design your final (permanent) set of teeth. Included with your treatment is an unlimited number of “prototype” teeth, which we can create for you and let you try out until you (and your doctor) are completely satisfied with the end result. After this step, you will have a brand new set of strong, beautiful teeth! Yeehaw!

How much does All-on-4 cost?
Typically, All-on-4 starts at $19,000 per arch, but the cost can be higher or lower depending on a variety of factors such as: amount of teeth left to extract, type of extractions (simple versus complex), amount of jawbone for implant placement, and overall complexity of the individual case.
However, since the procedure will vary from patient to patient, there is no set pricing for All-on-4 dentures. When determining the cost of same-day teeth, there are several variables to consider:
- Amount and cost of tooth extractions
- Laboratory cost
- Total number of dental implants required
- Other costs and factors may apply
We have found our patients who have made this investment, consider their treatment, life-changing.

Your Diet After All-on-4 Implant Surgery
Your diet after your dental implant procedure is one of the most important components of the recovery process following All-on-4 dental implant surgery.
Although we can place your dental implants and attach your hybrid in a single day with this method, it still takes three months or more for the dental implants to integrate with your bone.
During this time, we recommend a soft food diet, including foods you can cut with a plastic fork. There’s still lots of foods you can enjoy during this “healing” time, and a full list is provided to you at your pre-op appointment.
After your implants have integrated, we will design and deliver a second set of teeth made with a stronger material, which you can use to start eating all of the foods you have missed for so long!
Recovery & After Care
One significant advantage of All-on-4 dental implants is the notably shorter recovery period, attributed to fewer implants being placed. Unlike traditional implants, where recovery may take months, most patients can transition from a liquid to a solid diet within a few weeks. Following surgery, we will provide pain medication to alleviate initial discomfort. We advise All-on-4 implant patients to take at least one to two days off work for optimal rest and healing.
Frequently Asked Questions
What are All-on-4 dental implant dentures?
All-on-4 implants are fabricated teeth that are permanently placed on dental implants that are surgically inserted into your jawbone. They look, feel, and function like natural teeth. We fabricate your All-on-4 in our in-house dental lab.
What are the benefits of All-on-4 dental implant dentures?
- Enhanced Functionality: All-on-4 implants offer stable support for dentures, improving chewing ability.
- Natural Appearance: They mimic natural teeth closely, ensuring a seamless smile.
- Bone Preservation: These implants stimulate bone growth, preventing further deterioration.
- Convenience: No adhesives or daily removal required, simplifying maintenance.
- Cost-Effectiveness: Long-term savings compared to frequent adjustments of traditional dentures.
- Quick Recovery: Shorter downtime post-procedure, enabling a swift return to normal activities.
- Minimal Implants Needed: Just four implants per arch, suitable for various cases.
How are All-on-4 dental implant dentures different from traditional dentures?
All-on-4 dental implant dentures offer a permanent solution for damaged or missing teeth. The implants are securely inserted in the jawbone, providing a permanent solution that closely resembles, both in function and appearance, natural teeth.
How do All-on-4 dental implant dentures compare to traditional dental implants?
Traditional dental implants with an overdenture typically utilize six to eight implants per arch, while All-on-4 dental implants require only four implants per arch. Unlike traditional implants, All-on-4 treatment often eliminates the need for bone grafting, which is a common procedure. This efficiency in procedure reduces both the time and costs associated with traditional dental implants with an overdenture.
How long is the All-on-4 dental implant denture surgery?
The surgery for All-on-4 dental implants typically lasts approximately 2 ½ hours per arch.
What is the success rate of All-on-4 dental implant dentures?
Research indicates a success rate of 98% with the utilization of All-on-4 implants.
Who is the ideal candidate for All-on-4 dental implant dentures?
The optimal candidate for All-on-4 implants is someone who currently wears dentures or has significant tooth loss. Age is not a barrier as long as the individual is in good overall health.
Will my All-on-4 dental implant dentures look natural?
Absolutely. This implant method ensures a lasting smile that behaves, appears, and feels indistinguishable from natural teeth. In fact, without disclosure, others won’t discern that you have implant dentures.
Why don’t I get my permanent denture the same day the dental implants are placed?
Due to the required healing period, immediate placement of the prosthetic teeth isn’t feasible. A temporary set will be worn until the healing is finished. Your permanent teeth will be placed approximately six months following the implant surgery.
What if I only need dental implants on the top or both? What if I need an All-on-4 dental implant denture on the other jaw in the future?
The versatility of All-on-4 dental implant dentures allows for placement on either the upper or lower arch, or both. Dr. Rod will assess your individual case and advise on the most suitable procedure for you. If implants are needed for both upper and lower arches, simultaneous placement may be recommended to optimize results, as well as save time and costs. Dr. Rod will tailor a solution to align with your financial circumstances and health requirements.
Is the All-on-4 dental implant surgery painful?
We will administer an anesthetic to minimize any discomfort you may experience. However, you may feel some discomfort or pain following the procedure. This is normal and can typically be controlled with over-the-counter pain relievers.
Do I need to clean my All-on-4 Dental implants?
Yes, plaque can still accumulate on your All-on-4 dental implants. This can lead to gum disease which can lead to inflammation and other parts of the body, brushing and flossing your dental implants can also increase their longevity.
How do I clean All-on-4 dental implant dentures?
Maintaining dental implants requires regular cleaning akin to natural teeth, thus daily brushing and flossing are essential. Our Texoma Dentures and Implant team will provide detailed oral hygiene instructions and suggest a personalized plan tailored to your requirements.
Following All-on-4 dental implant surgery, will my face swell?
Often time patients will experience facial swelling. However, this is no cause for concern. You can reduce swelling by placing an ice pack on the affected area. The swelling usually subsides within 72 hours following the procedure.
Can I use my new All-on-4 teeth following the surgery?
No. Your gums must heal before you can eat hard or sticky foods. Your bone needs time to integrate with the dental implants. Otherwise, you may need to start the process all over again.
